ABOUT THE ARTIST

Yi Ping Boaro is an accomplished artist and decorative painter. Her innate creative ability emerged at a very young age and her natural interest in art has always brought her much happiness. These qualities, combined with her talent as painter, have been an asset to her lifelong artistic career. Recently Yi Ping began sharing her talents and has begun teaching young children. She has found that the young artist, without inhibitions, have renewed her passion and love for art in a more innocent setting. Yi Ping graduated from Ming-Dao Art and Technical High School in Taiwan where she majored in Fine Arts and Interior Design. She stayed in Taiwan and worked as a photo designer in Guiguan Wedding Company for several years.

In 1998 she made a decision to come to America, where she furthered her education at Nassau Community College graduating with a degree in Fine Arts and Digital Technology. After earning her degree she had the opportunity to be mentored by Carole Belmonte, an established decorative painter. Yi Ping continued to work with Ms. Belmonte for six years until sadly Ms. Belmonte recently passed away.

Yi Ping credits her artistic development and unique expression, to the time spend with Ms. Belmonte. Carole was a positive influence on Yi Ping's growth as a decorative painter and encouraged her to carry on in this field. As a result Yi Ping Boaro has established her own decorative painting business.

Dealing in both residential and commercial settings, her work encompasses many types of faux painting techniques on ceilings and walls, including murals, furniture painting, marbling, wood graining, Trompe L'Oeil, as well as a broad variety of plaster textures. Her knowledge of color enables her to transform an ordinary room and turn a client's vision into a reality. Her work has been displayed in several designers' showcases in the past including the Mill Neck Manor and La Selva in Brookville, New York.

Most importantly, Yi Ping enjoys working with people and this is demonstrated in her patience in understanding the client's needs and do what is necessary to achieve total customer satisfaction.
